air

Here at USU we unfortunately have to deal with a major inversion problem especially in the earlier months of the year. Luckily we also have a lot of opportunities to keep our air clean particularly through alternative transportation! Here are a couple ways you can help:

Carpooling: By riding with friends you are significantly cutting carbon emissions not to mention saving money!

Biking: Around the world bike share programs allow mass amounts of people to commute via bicycle. We at USU have the Aggie Blue Bikes program that lets students rent bikes for free as well as provide tune ups and maintenance for students with their own bikes. Click here for more information.

Riding the Bus: In cities like San Francisco, thousands of people each day depend on mass transportation to get around. Here in Cache Valley however, we are lucky to have a free bus system that runs throughout the valley as well as a shuttle system specifically for campus. It's a great way for us to reduce carbon emissions and maybe even meet a new friend.
