water

Currently, the world is in a growing shortage of clean water with nearly 1% of the water on the earth being safe for drinking (Global Change). As well, states like California are experiencing the worst drought in their recorded history. They have taken drastic action to conserve water through small acts every day. So what can we do as students here at USU to help save as much water as possible? Well first off we can start with watching how much water we use when we do things like wash the dishes, take a shower, or water our gardens. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) a person uses around 100 gallons of water a day, but can reduce that amount by 30% if they are take action to be a little wiser about their water which makes a big difference ("WaterSense").
